Touaregs, Bamako talk in Nouakchott
Representatives of the Arab Movement of Azawad (MAA) and the Malian government met Tuesday (June 3rd) in Nouakchott to discuss ways to revive peace talks, alakhbar reported.
Other separatists groups opted for meetings with the authorities in Burkina Faso.
On May 23rd, African Union head and Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz announced in Bamako the signing of a ceasefire deal between Touareg separatist groups and the Mali government.
